Log in to the Infisical Web Console
- Go to https://app.infisical.com or your self-hosted Infisical instance.
Navigate to "Machine Identity"
- In the Infisical dashboard, look for the “Machine Identity” section.
- If you do not see it, check the documentation for your specific Infisical instance or consult with your Infisical admin to enable machine identities.
Create a Machine Identity
- Click “Create Machine Identity” (or similar button).
- Fill in any required details such as the name, description, and access scopes.
- Submit the form to create the identity.
Copy the Universal Auth Client ID and Client Secret
- After the machine identity is created, you will be shown two values:
INFISICAL_UNIVERSAL_AUTH_CLIENT_IDINFISICAL_UNIVERSAL_AUTH_CLIENT_SECRET
- Copy both values and store them securely as you will need them for the next step.

(Optional) Determine Your Host URL
- If you are not using the default Infisical cloud, note your custom host URL.
- Otherwise, use the default:
https://app.infisical.com
Fill in the FastMCP Connection Interface
- Go to your FastMCP "Install Now" interface for the Infisical server.
- Paste the
INFISICAL_UNIVERSAL_AUTH_CLIENT_IDinto the relevant field. - Paste the
INFISICAL_UNIVERSAL_AUTH_CLIENT_SECRETinto the relevant field. - If needed, provide your custom
INFISICAL_HOST_URL. Otherwise, leave it as the default.
Save/Apply the Settings
- Ensure all values are correctly filled in, then proceed to save or apply the configuration.
You are now ready to use the Infisical MCP server with your FastMCP integration.
