Integrates GitLab and Jira APIs to enable merge request reviews, pipeline management, issue tracking, and ticket operations with unified search capabilities and intelligent fuzzy matching for cross-platform project coordination.
  1. Gather Your Required Credentials
    • For GitLab, you need:
      • Your GitLab server URL (e.g., https://your-gitlab-instance.com)
      • A GitLab Personal Access Token with API access
    • For Jira, you need:
      • Your Atlassian (Jira) site name (the subdomain part of your Jira URL)
      • Your Atlassian user email
      • A Jira API Token

  1. Obtain a GitLab Personal Access Token
    1. Log in to your GitLab instance.
    2. In the top right, click your user avatar and choose "Edit Profile".
    3. In the left sidebar, select “Access Tokens.”
    4. Choose a name, expiry date, and select the “api” scope at minimum.
    5. Click “Create personal access token.”
    6. Copy your newly-generated Personal Access Token. Save it in a secure location. (You will not be able to see it again!)

  1. Find Your Atlassian (Jira) Site Name
    • Your site name is usually the first part of your Jira Cloud URL. For example, in https://yoursite.atlassian.net/, the site name is “yoursite”.

  1. Get Your Atlassian (Jira) API Token
    1. Go to https://id.atlassian.com/manage-profile/security/api-tokens
    2. Click “Create API token.”
    3. Enter a label, then click “Create.”
    4. Copy the API token shown and save it securely (you won’t be able to see it again!)
    5. Use your Atlassian account email as the user email.

  1. Fill In the FastMCP Connection Interface
    1. Open the FastMCP connection interface and click the “Install Now” button for this integration.
    2. When prompted, fill in the following fields with the credentials you gathered:
      • GITLAB_URL: (your GitLab server URL, e.g., https://your-gitlab-instance.com)
      • GITLAB_ACCESS_TOKEN: (the GitLab Personal Access Token you created earlier)
      • ATLASSIAN_SITE_NAME: (your Atlassian/Jira site name)
      • ATLASSIAN_USER_EMAIL: (your Atlassian email address)
      • ATLASSIAN_API_TOKEN: (the Jira API token you created earlier)
    3. Save/confirm to complete the setup.

You’re done! The integration will now use your GitLab and Jira API credentials securely.
