Things

Open Things.app on Your macOS Device
Launch the Things application.

Enable Things URLs
In the menu bar, go to Things → Preferences → General.

Locate and Copy the Authorization Token
In the Preferences under the General tab, check the box labeled "Enable Things URLs".
An authorization token will appear—copy this token.

Open the FastMCP Connection Interface
Go to the FastMCP interface where your MCP server connections are managed.

Use the "Install Now" Button
Start adding the connection for Things MCP using the "Install Now" button.

Fill in the Authorization Token
In the FastMCP connection setup, locate the field for THINGS_AUTH_TOKEN.
Paste the token you copied from Things.app into this field.

Complete Installation and Restart if Needed
Save the changes and, if prompted, restart your integration or assistant to ensure the MCP server loads with the correct credentials.
