Task management system that breaks down user requests into structured tasks with subtasks, dependencies, and notes, requiring explicit approval before proceeding to ensure systematic tracking and user control.
  1. Determine Your Preferred Tasks File Path

    • Decide where you want TaskFlow MCP to store your tasks. By default, your tasks will be saved to ~/Documents/tasks.json.
    • If you want TaskFlow MCP to save tasks somewhere else, choose a full file path such as /custom/path/to/tasks.json.
  2. Open the FastMCP Connection Interface

    • Click the “Install Now” button on the FastMCP platform for adding environment variables (ENVs).
  3. Add/Modify the ENV Value

    • In the FastMCP connection interface, find or add the variable called TASK_MANAGER_FILE_PATH.
    • Enter the path you determined in Step 1 as the value (e.g., /custom/path/to/tasks.json).
  4. Save the Connection Settings

    • Click to save and apply the environment variable settings in the FastMCP interface.

You do not need an API key or token for TaskFlow MCP. You only need to set the TASK_MANAGER_FILE_PATH environment variable if you wish to customize where your task data is stored.
