Asana

1. Create an Asana Account

   • Go to https://www.asana.com and click "Sign up" to create your account if you don’t have one.

2. Generate an Asana Personal Access Token

   • Visit the Asana Developer Console.
   • Find the "Personal Access Tokens" section and click "Create new token".
   • Give your token a name and create it.
   • Copy the generated token (you’ll need this for authentication).

3. (Optional) Find Your Default Workspace ID

   • If you often work in a single Asana workspace, you can set its ID for convenience.
   • To find your workspace ID:
     • Use the Asana API to list your workspaces, or
     • Go to your workspace in Asana and copy the ID from the URL.

4. Fill in ENV Values in FastMCP

   • Click the "Install Now" button to add the ENVs for the Asana connection in the FastMCP interface.
   • Enter the required ENV values:
     • ASANA_ACCESS_TOKEN: Paste your personal access token generated above.
     • DEFAULT_WORKSPACE_ID: (Optional) Paste the Workspace ID if you want to set a default.

5. Save and Test

   • Complete the setup in the FastMCP interface and test your connection to confirm the integration works.
