Integrates with Tana's Input API, enabling creation and manipulation of structured data in Tana workspaces for enhanced note-taking and automated data input tasks.
  1. Open Tana in Your Browser
    Go to the Tana web application and log in to your account.

  2. Go to Settings → API Tokens
    In the Tana interface, find the "Settings" menu—usually accessible from your user menu or sidebar.
    Locate and select the "API tokens" section.

  3. Create a New API Token
    Click on the button to create a new API token.
    Assign appropriate permissions for your intended use.

  4. Copy the Generated Token
    After creation, your new API token will be shown.
    Copy the token now—this is usually only displayed once.

  5. Fill in the FastMCP Connection Interface
    In the FastMCP connection setup, use the "Install Now" button and enter your TANA_API_TOKEN value where prompted.

    • Key: TANA_API_TOKEN
    • Value: (paste the token you just generated)

Your connection to Tana via MCP will now be authenticated and ready to use.
