Integrates with Obsidian vaults, enabling natural language queries and updates to notes through secure read/write access.
  1. Find Your Obsidian Vault Path

    • Open Obsidian and select the vault you want to integrate.
    • Right-click on the vault in the sidebar or check the vault's settings to find its folder path on your filesystem.
  2. Click “Install Now” in the FastMCP Connection Interface

    • Go to the FastMCP interface where you add connections.
    • Click the “Install Now” button for MCP Obsidian.
  3. Enter Your Obsidian Vault Path

    • In the field for OBSIDIAN_VAULT_PATH, provide the full path to your Obsidian vault folder as found in Step 1.
    • Example: /Users/yourname/Documents/Obsidian/MyKnowledgeBase
  4. Save Your Changes

    • Confirm or save the connection in the FastMCP interface.

You do not need any keys or special tokens. Just the full path to your Obsidian vault is required for setup.
