Log in to your Netskope Admin Console
- Open the web interface for your Netskope environment. You must have administrator privileges.
Locate your Tenant’s Base URL
- Identify your base Netskope tenant URL.
- It typically looks like:
https://your-tenant.goskope.com - If unsure, you can find it in your browser’s address bar after logging in to the admin console, before any additional path (e.g.,
/dashboard).
Generate an API Key
- Go to the “Settings” or “Administration” section in the Netskope admin portal.
- Look for an area labeled “API” or “API Key Management”.
- If you do not see this section, check under “Users & Roles” or search for “API” in the admin console’s help/search.
- Click “Create API Key” or “Add API Key”.
- Give the key a name/description for future identification.
- Save/copy the generated API key. It may look like:

Set Required ENVs in the FastMCP Connection Interface
- Find the “Install Now” or similar button in your FastMCP workspace.
- When prompted or in the form, fill in the following environment variables:
NETSKOPE_BASE_URL: Paste your complete tenant URL (e.g.https://your-tenant.goskope.com)NETSKOPE_API_KEY: Paste the API token you generated from the admin console
Save/Confirm
- Complete the installation/setup wizard to finish connecting your server with your Netskope environment.
Notes:
- Keep your API key secure and never share it publicly or commit it to version control.
- If you lose the key, you will need to generate a new one in the admin console.
