Get Your Backlog API Key
- In the Backlog interface, open your profile/individual settings by clicking your avatar or user icon.
- Find the section for API key management.
- If you haven’t generated an API key before, click to generate one. If you already have a key, copy it.

Get Your Backlog Space ID
- Your space ID is the subdomain part of your Backlog URL.
- Example: If your Backlog URL is
https://abc123.backlog.com, then your space ID isabc123.
(Optional) Find or Set the Base URL
- The base URL for the Backlog API is typically
https://{your-space-id}.backlog.com/api/v2. - This can usually be left default unless your workspace is set up differently.

Enter Values in FastMCP Connection Interface
- Click the "Install Now" button in your FastMCP interface.
- In the connection setup, fill out the required environment variables:
BACKLOG_API_KEY: Paste your API key from step 3.BACKLOG_SPACE_ID: Enter your space ID from step 4.
- If prompted, you may also enter the
BACKLOG_BASE_URL(optional).
Save and Complete Installation
- Click to save/apply the configuration.
- Your Backlog MCP server should now be connected and ready to use!
