Integrates with SolarWinds Observability logs, providing tools for searching, visualizing, and analyzing log data with advanced filtering options and customizable time ranges for DevOps and IT operations teams.
  1. Log in to SolarWinds Observability
Go to the SolarWinds Observability web interface and log in with your account.

  2. Access the API Token Section
In your account or user profile settings, find the section labeled "API Tokens" or "API Access." (This is typically found under "Security," "Integrations," or "Developer" sections. If you do not see it, check the SolarWinds Observability documentation or contact your SolarWinds administrator.)

  3. Create a New API Token
Click the button to create or generate a new API token. You may be required to give it a name and specify its permissions/scope (if prompted, choose appropriate access for log searching and visualization).

  4. Copy the API Token
Once the token is generated, copy it immediately. You may not be able to see it again after closing the dialog.

  5. Fill in the FastMCP Connection Interface
In the FastMCP connection interface (using your "Install Now" button), enter the copied API token in the SOLARWINDS_API_TOKEN field.

  6. Save or Apply the Configuration
Complete the configuration by clicking the appropriate save or connect button in the FastMCP interface.

Your SolarWinds MCP server is now ready to use logs tools via FastMCP!
