Integrates with Datadog monitoring platform to provide access to metrics, logs, dashboards, monitors, and incidents for DevOps and SRE workflows
  1. Log in to Your Datadog Account

  2. Navigate to API Key and Application Key Management

    • In the left sidebar, click on "Organization Settings" (gear/cog icon).
    • Under "Organization Settings," select "API Keys" to obtain an API key and "Application Keys" to obtain an Application key.
  3. Create an API Key

    • In the "API Keys" section, click the "New Key" (or "Create API key") button.
    • Enter a name for your key.
    • Click "Create Key" and copy the newly generated API key.
  4. Create an Application Key

    • Go to the "Application Keys" section.
    • Click the "New Key" (or "Create Application key") button.
    • Provide a name for this application key.
    • Click "Create Application Key" and copy the generated key.
  5. Identify Your Datadog Region ("Site")

    • If you are unsure of your site (region), check the base URL you use to log in to Datadog or refer to the following:
      • US: datadoghq.com
      • EU: datadoghq.eu
      • US3 (GovCloud): ddog-gov.com
      • US5: us5.datadoghq.com
      • AP1: ap1.datadoghq.com
  6. Add Your Keys in FastMCP

    • In the FastMCP connection interface, click the "Install Now" button for Datadog MCP Server.
    • Fill in the required fields:
      • API Key: Paste the API key obtained in step 3.
      • Application Key: Paste the application key from step 4.
      • Site: Enter your Datadog region (for example, datadoghq.com).
  7. (Optional) Advanced Service-Specific Endpoints

    • If you wish to specify different endpoints for logs or metrics, also fill in the optional fields:
      • Logs Site: e.g., logs.datadoghq.com
      • Metrics Site: e.g., metrics.datadoghq.com
    • Leave these empty if you use the default regional site for all services.
  8. Save/Apply the Configuration

    • Confirm and save your configuration in FastMCP.

Your Datadog MCP Server should now be connected and ready to use!
