Provides a bridge between Twitter's API and conversational interfaces, enabling comprehensive platform interaction including profile management, tweet operations, timeline access, and search functionality.
  1. Create a Twitter (X) Developer Account

    • Go to the Twitter Developer Portal.
    • Sign in with your Twitter account and apply for a developer account if you don't have one.
    • Follow Twitter's process to get your developer account approved.
  2. Create a Twitter Project and App

    • In the Twitter Developer Portal, click on "Projects & Apps."
    • Click "Create Project" and complete the required information.
    • Inside your project, click "Add App" and fill in the details.
  3. Generate API Keys and Tokens

    • Go to your App’s “Keys and tokens” section.
    • Click “Generate” or “Regenerate” to create each of the following credentials:
      • API Key
      • API Key Secret
      • Access Token
      • Access Token Secret
      • Bearer Token
    • Copy each value and save them securely.
  4. Add Your Twitter Credentials in FastMCP

    • Go to the FastMCP connection interface and click your ready-made “Install Now” button for the X (Twitter) MCP server.
    • In the environment (ENV) values section, fill in the credentials as follows:
      • TWITTER_API_KEY: (Paste your “API Key” here)
      • TWITTER_API_SECRET: (Paste your “API Key Secret” here)
      • TWITTER_ACCESS_TOKEN: (Paste your “Access Token” here)
      • TWITTER_ACCESS_TOKEN_SECRET: (Paste your “Access Token Secret” here)
      • TWITTER_BEARER_TOKEN: (Paste your “Bearer Token” here)
    • Save your changes.
  5. Restart or Reinstall the MCP Server (if required)

    • If you are prompted to restart or reinstall the server for changes to take effect, do so using the appropriate button or command in FastMCP.

You have now provided the required Twitter API credentials for use with the X (Twitter) MCP server.
