Log in to the LicenseSpring Dashboard
- Go to the LicenseSpring dashboard via your browser.
- Use your administrator credentials to log in.
Navigate to Settings and Find API Keys
- In the dashboard, locate and click on "Settings".
- Go to the "Keys" section.
Obtain Your API Keys
- Copy your License API Key (for the LICENSE_API_KEY field; this is the primary credential needed for most server functions).
- Optionally, if your organization uses shared API settings, you may also copy the License Shared Key (for the LICENSE_SHARED_KEY field; this provides enhanced security and is only required for certain organizations/subscription tiers).
- If you need to set up the management server, also copy your Management API Key (for the MANAGEMENT_API_KEY field).
Add Keys in the FastMCP Connection Interface
- Go to your FastMCP connection setup.
- When prompted by the "Install Now" button, fill in the values as follows:
- For the License API server:
- In the "LICENSE_API_KEY" field, paste your License API Key.
- (Optional) In the "LICENSE_SHARED_KEY" field, paste your Shared Key if required or leave it empty if not used.
- For the Management API server:
- In the "MANAGEMENT_API_KEY" field, paste your Management API Key.
- For the License API server:
Save and Complete
- Confirm and save your setup in FastMCP.
- Your MCP server should now authenticate correctly using the LicenseSpring credentials you’ve provided.
