Integrates with NASA and JPL APIs to provide access to astronomy images, satellite data, space weather information, Mars rover photos, and more through a unified interface built with TypeScript.
  1. Go to the NASA API registration page:
    Open your browser and navigate to https://api.nasa.gov.

  2. Sign in or create an account:
    If you already have a NASA API account, log in. Otherwise, click the option to register for a new account and follow the prompts to complete your registration.

  3. Request an API key:
    After signing in, fill out the required form (typically asking for your name, email, intended API usage, etc.) and submit your request for an API key.

  4. Copy your API key:
    Once your registration is complete, your NASA API key will be displayed on the confirmation page and/or sent to your email. Copy this key.

  5. Add the API key in FastMCP:
    Click the "Install Now" button for the NASA MCP server integration. In the FastMCP connection interface, locate the field for environment variables (NASA_API_KEY) and paste your copied API key into this field.

  6. Save and complete the setup:
    Confirm your entry and complete any remaining steps in FastMCP to finish the integration. Your NASA API key is now configured.
