Enables AI access to the IPFS Storacha Network for decentralized file storage, content addressing, and persistent data management through the w3cli interface.
  1. Register for an Account on storacha.network

  2. Install the w3 CLI

    • Open your terminal and run:
      npm install -g @web3-storage/w3cli
      
  3. Log in Using the w3 CLI

    • Run the following command, replacing <your-email@example.com> with the email address you registered with:
      w3 login <your-email@example.com>
      
    • Follow the email verification steps as prompted.
  4. Copy Your Email

    • After successful login and verification, copy the email address you used for the process.
  5. Open the FastMCP Connection Interface

    • Click the "Install Now" button to add ENVs.
  6. Fill in the Required ENV Value

    • Add a new environment variable:
      • Key: W3_LOGIN_EMAIL
      • Value: (Paste the email address you used with w3 login)
  7. Save the Configuration

    • Proceed with saving or confirming your changes in the interface.

Your MCP IPFS server will now authenticate using the provided email and be able to interact with storacha.network through the MCP interface.
