Obtain Your Solana Keypair
- If you already have a Solana keypair (usually a .json file from Solana CLI tools or a wallet), locate it on your computer.
- If you don't have one, you can generate it with the Solana CLI tool:
- Install the Solana CLI if you haven't: Solana CLI Install Guide
- Run
solana-keygen newand follow prompts to create a new keypair. - Your keypair file will be saved locally (you will use the full text content or path).
Choose a Solana RPC URL
- For most users, use the recommended public endpoint:
https://api.mainnet-beta.solana.com - If you want to use a custom endpoint, obtain it from your infrastructure or service provider.

Add Environment Variables in FastMCP
- In the FastMCP connection interface, click the "Install Now" button to begin adding the bonk-mcp server.
- When prompted, fill in the environment variables as follows:
KEYPAIR: Enter the path to your Solana keypair file, or paste the contents of your keypair JSON (as instructed by FastMCP/Claude Desktop).RPC_URL: Enter the Solana RPC endpoint, e.g.https://api.mainnet-beta.solana.com
Save and Apply
- Review your entries to ensure accuracy.
- Click to save/apply your configuration within the FastMCP interface.
Note: Always keep your Solana keypair secure. Do not share your keypair or expose it publicly.
