  1. Obtain your OpenAI API Key

    • Go to https://platform.openai.com/api-keys and log in with your OpenAI account.
    • Click "Create new secret key" if you do not already have an API key.
    • Copy the generated API key. You will use this value in the next steps.
  2. Add the OpenAI API Key in the FastMCP connection interface

    • Click "Install Now" for the browser-use-mcp-server.
    • In the connection setup interface, look for the field labeled OPENAI_API_KEY.
    • Paste your OpenAI API key into this field.
  3. (Optional) Specify a custom Chrome path

    • If you want to use a specific Chrome browser binary, provide the full path in the CHROME_PATH field.
    • If you do not need to specify this, you may leave it blank.
  4. (Optional) Set PATIENT for task completion behavior

    • By default, PATIENT is set to false. If you want API calls to wait for full task completion, set the PATIENT field to true.
