Enables real-time communication with Telegram users via bots, supporting asynchronous messaging and secure chat interactions.
  1. Create a Telegram Bot

    • Open Telegram and search for @BotFather.
    • Start a chat and send the command /newbot.
    • Follow the instructions to name your bot and get your bot token.
    • Copy the bot token—you will need it.
  2. Get Your Telegram Chat ID

    • Make sure your bot token is available.
    • In your terminal, run:
      npx mcptelegram-chatid
      
    • Send any message to your newly created bot via Telegram.
    • The terminal will display your chat ID after receiving a message from you.
  3. Fill Values in FastMCP Connection Interface

    • Click the Install Now button for mcp-communicator-telegram.
    • In the FastMCP connection interface:
      • Enter your Telegram Bot Token in the field labeled TELEGRAM_TOKEN.
      • Enter your Telegram Chat ID in the field labeled CHAT_ID.
  4. Save the Configuration

    • Confirm and save the values in the interface to complete the connection setup.

You are now set up to communicate with users via Telegram using the MCP Communicator!
