Sign up or log in to lnbits.com
- Go to https://demo.lnbits.com (or your own LNbits instance).
- If required, create an account or log in.
Create a new Wallet (optional)
- From the LNbits dashboard, click "Create a new wallet" to organize your funds and keys, or use an existing wallet.
Obtain your Admin and Read Keys
- Go to the wallet you want to use.
- At the top of the wallet page, find your "Invoice/read key" and "Admin key":
- Admin key: Used for managing the wallet and making payments.
- Read key: Used for reading information from the wallet.
- Click the copy button next to each key to copy the values.
Fill in the FastMCP connection interface
- In the FastMCP interface, click the “Install Now” button for the Lightning Network MCP Server.
- When prompted, enter the following:
BITCOIN_LNBITS_NODE_URL— Enter the URL (usehttps://demo.lnbits.comif using the demo site).BITCOIN_LNBITS_ADMIN_KEY— Paste your Admin Key value.BITCOIN_LNBITS_READ_KEY— Paste your Read Key value.
Save and complete the setup
- Save the environment variables and complete the connection process.
Your Lightning Network MCP server is now set up and ready to make payments through the specified LNbits wallet.
