Brave Deep Research

1. Go to the Brave Search API key registration page
   Visit the official Brave Search API website at https://search.brave.com/api.

2. Sign in or create a Brave account
   Click “Sign In” or “Register.” If you do not already have a Brave account, follow the steps to create one.

3. Access your developer dashboard
   Once logged in, go to the “API” or “Developer” section of your Brave account dashboard.

4. Generate a new API key
   Click the button to generate a new API key for the Brave Search API.

5. Copy your API key
   Copy the generated key. It will look similar to: brv-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

6. Open the FastMCP connection interface in your workspace
   Click the “Install Now” button for the @suthio/brave-deep-research-mcp integration.

7. Fill in the required ENV values

   • Under "BRAVE_API_KEY", paste the API key you copied from Brave.
   • (Optional) Set “PUPPETEER_HEADLESS”, “PAGE_TIMEOUT”, and “DEBUG_MODE” as needed, or leave them at their defaults.

8. Save and apply the connection
   Submit the form to finalize the integration. Your API key and settings will be securely stored for use with the MCP server.
