Choose Public SearXNG Instances
- Go to https://searx.space/ and browse the list of available public SearXNG servers.
- Select up to three SearXNG server URLs you want to use (e.g.,
https://searx.be,https://searx.tiekoetter.com,https://opnxng.com).
Prepare Environment Variable Values
- Combine your chosen server URLs separated by semicolons (;) for the
SEARXNG_BASE_URLvalue (e.g.,https://searx.be;https://searx.tiekoetter.com;https://opnxng.com). - (Optional) Decide your preferred search language and set the
DEFAULT_LANGUAGEvalue (e.g.,enfor English,esfor Spanish).
- Combine your chosen server URLs separated by semicolons (;) for the
Fill Values in FastMCP Connection Interface
- Click the "Install Now" button for the SearXNG MCP server.
- When prompted in the FastMCP connection interface, fill in:
- SEARXNG_BASE_URL: Paste the combined list of SearXNG server URLs.
- DEFAULT_LANGUAGE: Enter your language code (optional, defaults to "en").
Save and Connect
- Submit your entries and complete the setup as guided by FastMCP.
You do not need any API key or authentication for public SearXNG instances.
