Go to DigitalOcean’s API Settings
Generate a Personal Access Token
- Click "Generate New Token."
- Enter a name for your token.
- Make sure to select the required App Platform permissions.
Copy your DigitalOcean API Token
- After you generate the token, copy it immediately. You won’t be able to see it again after you leave the page.
Open the FastMCP Connection Interface
- In your MCP client, click the “Install Now” button or go to the interface for adding new ENVs.
Fill in the ENV Value
- When prompted for environments, enter your token under the variable name
DIGITALOCEAN_API_TOKEN. - Example:
DIGITALOCEAN_API_TOKEN=<your_copied_token>
- When prompted for environments, enter your token under the variable name
Complete the Connection
- Save your changes and continue to finish the MCP server setup.
Your DigitalOcean MCP server is now ready to manage your apps!
