Brave Search

1. Sign up for a Brave Search API account

   • Go to the Brave Search API page.
   • Click “Get Started” or any button to sign up.
   • Complete the registration process as prompted.

2. Choose a Plan

   • After signing up, choose your preferred plan. The Free tier is available with 2,000 queries/month.

3. Generate your API Key

   • After logging in, go to the Brave API Developer Dashboard.
   • Click to create a new API key if needed.
   • Copy the generated API key.

4. Add the API Key to FastMCP

   • In the FastMCP connection interface, click the “Install Now” button for the Brave Search MCP server.
   • You will see a field to fill in the environment variable.
   • Enter your API key in the field labeled BRAVE_API_KEY.

Your FastMCP connection is now configured to use the Brave Search API.
