Log in to HackMD

• Visit https://hackmd.io/ and log in with your account.

Navigate to HackMD Settings

• Go to your user settings by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner and then selecting "Settings," or directly visit https://hackmd.io/settings#api.

Generate or View Your API Token

• In the settings menu, locate the "API" section.
• If you don’t have an API token yet, generate one by clicking the relevant button (such as “Generate API Token”).
• If a token is already present, copy it.

Add the API Token to FastMCP

• Open the FastMCP connection interface.
• Locate the input for HACKMD_API_TOKEN.
• Paste your HackMD API token into this field.

(Optional) Set the API Endpoint

• If you need to use a custom HackMD API endpoint, enter your endpoint URL in the HACKMD_API_URL field. Otherwise, leave it blank to use the default.

Complete the Setup

• Confirm and save your changes in FastMCP.
• You are now ready to use HackMD features through the MCP integration.
