GistPad (GitHub Gists)

1. Go to GitHub Personal Access Tokens Page

   • Open your browser and navigate to https://github.com/settings/tokens/new.

2. Create a New Token with "gist" Scope

   • Give your token a descriptive name (e.g., "GistPad MCP Token").
   • Scroll down to "Select scopes."
   • Check only the gist scope—the rest can remain unchecked for improved security.

3. Generate the Token

   • Click the "Generate token" button at the bottom of the page.

4. Copy the Token

   • After the token is generated, copy it immediately. You will not be able to see it again after leaving the page.

5. Fill the Token in the FastMCP Connection Interface

   • Click the "Install Now" button in your FastMCP interface.
   • In the setup form, locate the field for GITHUB_TOKEN.
   • Paste your copied token into this field.

6. Save and Complete the Installation

   • Finish the setup by following any remaining prompts in FastMCP.

Your GistPad MCP server will now be connected and ready to access and manage your GitHub Gists via MCP!
