Integrates with Jenkins CI/CD infrastructure to provide complete job management, build monitoring, pipeline execution, and artifact handling with intelligent caching and CSRF protection for DevOps automation workflows.
  1. Log in to your Jenkins instance

    • Open your Jenkins web interface in your browser.
  2. Access your user settings

    • Click on your username in the upper right corner.
    • Select "Configure" from the dropdown menu.
  3. Generate a new API token

    • Scroll down to the "API Token" section.
    • Click "Add new Token".
    • Enter a name for the token and click "Generate".
  4. Copy the generated API token

    • The token will be displayed only once — copy and save it securely. You will need it for the configuration.
  5. Note your Jenkins Server URL

    • Your Jenkins server URL is the address you use to access Jenkins (e.g., http://your-jenkins-server:8080).
  6. Note your Jenkins username

    • Use the username with which you are logged in (the one used to generate the API token).
  7. Fill in the FastMCP connection interface (Install Now button)

    • When adding the MCP integration via FastMCP's "Install Now" button, provide the following required values:
      • JENKINS_URL: Your Jenkins server URL (e.g., http://your-jenkins-server:8080)
      • JENKINS_USER: Your Jenkins username
      • JENKINS_API_TOKEN: The API token you generated in Step 4
  8. (Optional) Advanced settings

    • If you want to customize server or retry settings, set the optional environment variables as described in the README.

You have now provided the required environment variables for the Jenkins MCP integration!
