- Open a web browser and visit https://platform.openai.com/settings/organization/api-keys.
Log In and Verify Organization
- Log in with your OpenAI account.
- You must belong to, or create, an OpenAI organization. Note that ID verification might be required to access the keys.
Create a New API Key
- Click “Create new secret key”.
- Copy the API key immediately when it is shown. It will look like:
sk-proj-....
Return to the FastMCP Connection Interface
- Navigate back to the FastMCP connection interface.
Fill in the ENV Value
- In the interface, find the field for the
API_KEYand paste your copied API key into this field.
