Log in to your Nile account
- Go to https://console.thenile.dev and sign in.
Navigate to your Workspace
- Click on Workspaces at the top-left corner.
- Select the workspace you want to connect.
Obtain your API Key
- In the left-side menu, go to the Security section.
- Locate or create an API key for your workspace.
- Copy the API key (
NILE_API_KEY). This value will only be visible once when you create it.
Get your Workspace Slug
- While viewing your workspace, find the slug (usually visible in the workspace overview or URL). This will be used as
NILE_WORKSPACE_SLUG.

Add the ENV values to the FastMCP connection interface
- Open the FastMCP connection interface.
- Use the "Install Now" button to add ENVs.
- Fill in the ENV values as follows:
NILE_API_KEY: Paste your copied API key here.NILE_WORKSPACE_SLUG: Enter your workspace slug here.
Save your changes
- Confirm the entries and save.
You are now set up and ready to use the Nile MCP Server with your credentials!
