Run AI workflows hosted on Glif.app via MCP, including ComfyUI-based image generators, meme generators, selfies, chained LLM calls, and more
  1. Sign in to Glif

  2. Open the API Tokens page

  3. Create a new API token

    • Click the button to create a new API token, give it a descriptive name (e.g., "FastMCP"), and confirm. Copy the token value when it is displayed and store it securely. (docs.glif.app)
  4. Open the FastMCP connection interface (use the “Install Now” button)

    • In the FastMCP connection UI, click the “Install Now” button to add environment variables.
  5. Add the required environment variable

    • In the FastMCP ENV/key entry, set the key GLIF_API_TOKEN and paste the API token you copied from Glif. (Optional environment variables supported by the MCP server include GLIF_IDS, IGNORE_DISCOVERY_TOOLS, and AGENT_TOOLS.) (glama.ai)
  6. Save / Install

    • Click the FastMCP interface’s Save / Install / Confirm button to apply the ENV. If the MCP server is already running, restart or re-install it via the interface so it picks up the new environment variable.
  7. Verify the connection

    • Use the MCP client’s tool list or logs to confirm the glif server tools are available and responding. If you see errors, re-check the token value and retry.
