Run Augment Code as a coding agent via the Auggie CLI
  1. Install Auggie CLI

    • Ensure the Auggie CLI is installed on your system.
    • You can check this by running:
      auggie --version
      
    • If not installed, follow the installation guide here: Auggie CLI Installation Guide
  2. Authenticate with Auggie

    • Log in to your Auggie account using the CLI. This initiates a browser-based sign-in:
      auggie login
      
  3. Obtain Your API Token

    • After authenticating, print your API token using:
      auggie --print-augment-token
      
    • Copy the displayed token.
  4. Add the Token to FastMCP

    • In the FastMCP connection interface, locate the "Install Now" button for Auggie MCP.
    • When prompted for environment variables, paste your copied API token as the value for AUGMENT_API_TOKEN.

Note:

  • Never commit tokens to source control.
  • For best security, use the FastMCP's secure configuration option to store your token.
