Log in to your Readwise account
- Go to https://readwise.io/access_token.
- Log in with your credentials if prompted.
Generate or view your Readwise access token
- The page will display your unique Readwise access token.
- If you have not previously generated one, follow the on-page prompt to do so.
Copy your Readwise access token
- Select the token string on the page and copy it to your clipboard.
Fill in the FastMCP connection interface
- In the FastMCP interface, click the “Install Now” button for the Readwise MCP Enhanced server.
- When prompted for environment variables, paste your token value into the
READWISE_TOKENfield.
Save and apply the configuration
- Complete any remaining installation steps in FastMCP.
- Your Readwise MCP will now be able to access your Reader documents and highlights using your token.
