  1. Open Google AI Studio
    Go to Google AI Studio and log in with your Google account.

  2. Generate a New API Key

    • Once logged in, find the "API Keys" section.
    • Click on the button to "Create API Key" or a similar option.
    • Follow any on-screen instructions to generate your API key.
  3. Copy the API Key

    • After generating the key, it will be displayed on the screen.
    • Copy this API key immediately, as it may only be shown once for security reasons.
  4. Fill in the FastMCP Connection Interface

    • In the FastMCP environment, use the "Install Now" button for the Gemini MCP Tool.
    • When prompted for the GEMINI_API_KEY, paste in the API key you copied from Google AI Studio.
  5. Complete the Installation

    • Proceed with the remaining steps as instructed by FastMCP.
    • Ensure that the MCP tool is active and can access the Gemini API by testing a prompt or running its built-in help command.
