Log in to the Chatvolt Platform
- Open your web browser and navigate to the Chatvolt platform (contact your workspace or IT admin if you do not know the URL).
- Sign in with your user account credentials.
Obtain your Chatvolt API Key
- After logging in, locate your account/profile section, usually found in the top-right corner or within a navigation sidebar.
- Look for a menu or tab labeled "API Keys," "Developer," "Integrations," or similar.
- If you see an option to "Create new API Key" or "Generate token," click it.
- Fill in a name for the token (to describe its purpose, e.g., “FastMCP Integration”).
- Set the desired access permissions (if applicable) for the token.
- Click to create/generate the key.
Copy the API Key
- Once the API key is shown, copy it immediately. Note: For security reasons, the key may only be visible once.
Fill in the FastMCP Connection Interface
- In the FastMCP platform, go to the interface where you add or configure connections.
- Press the “Install Now” button to add the Chatvolt MCP integration.
- In the form or dialog that appears, paste your copied API key into the field labeled
CHATVOLT_API_KEY.
Save and Test the Connection
- Complete any other required fields (if any) and click “Save,” “Connect,” or similar to finish setting up the connection.
- Optionally, use the connection testing or validation feature to ensure the integration works.
Note: If you cannot find where to generate an API key in Chatvolt, contact your Chatvolt administrator or consult Chatvolt Documentation for precise instructions according to your organization’s setup.
