Perplexity Search

1. Register for a Perplexity API Account

   • Go to the Perplexity AI API Documentation or the main Perplexity Developer Portal.
   • If you don’t already have an account, sign up for one.

2. Generate Your Perplexity API Key

   • Log in to the Perplexity Developer Portal.
   • Navigate to the section for API Keys (often found under “Account” or “Settings”).
   • Click on “Generate New API Key” or a similar button.
   • Copy the generated API key.

3. Add the API Key to the FastMCP Connection Interface

   • Open the FastMCP connection interface.
   • Click the “Install Now” button for mcp-perplexity-search.
   • In the configuration popup, paste your copied Perplexity API key into the field labeled PERPLEXITY_API_KEY.

4. Save the Configuration

   • Complete any additional required fields (if present).
   • Save or confirm the connection setup.

Your Perplexity API key is now securely configured for the MCP integration.
