Sign Up for a DeepSeek Account
- Go to the DeepSeek website and create an account if you do not already have one.
Obtain Your DeepSeek API Key
- Log in to your DeepSeek account.
- Navigate to the API section on your user dashboard or account settings.
- Locate the option for generating or viewing your API key (this may be labeled as "API Key", "Developer Key," or similar).
- If a key is not already present, generate a new one by following the provided instructions.
- Copy the API key shown. You will need this in the next step.
Add the API Key to the FastMCP Connection
- Open the FastMCP connection interface.
- Click the "Install Now" button to set up the server.
- When prompted for environment variables (ENVs), locate the field labeled
DEEPSEEK_API_KEY. - Paste your DeepSeek API key into this field.
Finish Configuration
- Complete the rest of the setup as prompted by FastMCP.
- Save your changes.
- Your DeepSeek MCP server should now be connected and ready to use with the provided API key.
