Open MusicMCP dashboard
- Go to https://www.musicmcp.ai and sign in (or create an account if you don’t have one). (musicmcp.ai)
Generate an API key
- In the dashboard navigate to the API Keys / Applications section and create (or copy) your API key. The site labels this under “Get your API key” in the dashboard. (musicmcp.ai)
Keep the key private
- Copy the API key to your clipboard and store it securely (do not share it publicly). The docs explicitly advise keeping API keys private. (music.ai)
Open the FastMCP connection interface (use your “Install Now” button)
- Click the “Install Now” / FastMCP connection UI you already have to open the environment-variable entry form. (You will paste the values in the fields shown there.)
Fill the environment variables in the FastMCP interface
- Set MUSICMCP_API_KEY =

Save and apply the configuration

Verify the API key
