Pinecone Vector DB
Leverage Pinecone vector databases for semantic search and RAG.
Sign up for a Pinecone account
- Go to https://www.pinecone.io/ and sign up for a free or paid Pinecone account.
Create a new Pinecone index
- Once logged in, navigate to the Pinecone dashboard.
- Click "Create Index" and enter a name for your new index. Configure dimensions and any other settings as needed.
- Note the name of your index—you will need it for the configuration.
Retrieve your Pinecone API key
- In the Pinecone dashboard, go to the "API Keys" section.
- Locate your project’s default API key, or generate a new key if desired.
- Copy the API key shown (it will look similar to:
YOUR-API-KEY-HERE).
Fill in the FastMCP connection interface
- When prompted by the FastMCP connection interface (after clicking "Install Now"), input the following values:

index-name, enter the name of the Pinecone index you created. - For
api-key, paste the API key you obtained from the Pinecone dashboard.

Save and complete the integration
- Make sure to double-check your inputs for any typos.
- Complete the installation through FastMCP.
